Sizing a Commercial Floor Coating Job in North Fort Worth
Scale decides a north Fort Worth job before the product does. One AllianceTexas cross- dock, finished in 2023 with 40-foot clear height, covers 1.18 million square feet. That is far larger than the sectioned interiors we normally quote, so the first question at a walk is which zones need a coating at all. The second is whether that portion fits our crews. Often the honest scope is a run of dock lanes, an office front or one production area.
Older north-side distribution reads differently. The building at 401-441 Railhead Road went up in 2001 with 305,255 square feet, 28-foot clear, 21 exterior dock doors, one drive-in bay and an active rail spur. A slab with 25 years of dock traffic tends to show worn paths at the doors, opened joints and tired sealer. Those three items set the prep lines on the scope.
Inside either building, zones ask for different systems. Truck docks and the drive-in bay carry turning loads and tracked-in grit, which points to epoxy under a heavier topcoat. Heat or washdown areas lean toward urethane cement, and some open storage only needs sealed concrete.
With light traffic, Fort Worth City Hall and the Heritage community each read about 50 minutes from our Garland shop. Daytime runs take longer, so multi-visit Fort Worth floors are booked as consecutive days on site.
