Brookhollow's warehouses off Stemmons were poured in the 1960s and 1970s; many now hold stone shops, heavy-power plants or showrooms. We fit the floor system to today's tenant.

Commercial Floor Coatings on Brookhollow's Older Dallas Slabs
Brookhollow's concrete is older than most of the businesses working on it. The industrial district off Stemmons Freeway, in Dallas 75247, still runs on warehouses built in the 1960s and 1970s: a manufacturing building on Commonwealth Dr dates to 1962, a Cash Rd building to 1966 and a Sharp St distribution building to 1970. A slab with that many years behind it has passed through several tenants, any of whom could have left patches, sealer or paint. The walk starts by finding out what is already down.
The work on those floors has changed far more than the buildings. One 1960s Brookhollow brick warehouse, rebuilt with 24-ft clearance, was fully leased in 2024 to tenants that included stone fabricators. The Commonwealth Dr plant carries 6,000 amps of 277/480V power across 67,615 sq ft of climate-controlled warehouse, and the Cash Rd building fronts its bays with about 2,300 sq ft of renovated office and showroom. Wet cutting with slurry and slab carts, a dry plant floor and a showroom are three separate problems, so we choose the system per use.
Footage swings widely. The buildings we checked run from 26,446 sq ft on Cash Rd to roughly 200,000 sq ft on Commonwealth Dr. A small showroom-and-bay building is a one-visit job; the large plant is multi-day and worked in sections. Brookhollow also sits on the far side of Dallas from our Garland shop, and the crew makes that trip each day.
Merriman Park opened in 1956 and Merriman Park Estates a year later, and nearly every lot was built by 1960. Lochwood's one- and two-story brick ranches come from the same postwar run. A garage floor that has carried cars for sixty years can hold oil, worn patches, old paint and settlement cracks. Grinding opens the surface, cracks get filled, and any old coating is dealt with before polyurea goes down.

Three Garage Layouts on Neighboring Streets
In Lake Highlands Estates, one 1957 house has a side-facing attached garage, a 1967 house has alley access and a 1958 house has a detached garage facing the rear. How the crew reaches the slab changes the setup for the day. Nick notes where we can park and stage at the estimate, before an install date is set.
03
Prewar Houses South of the Lake
Lakewood was founded in 1914, and its Tudor, Dutch Colonial and Prairie spec homes went up through the 1920s and 1930s. Forest Hills' oldest houses also date from the 1920s. A garage behind one of these may have been rebuilt decades after the house, so Nick reads each slab on its own. Parts of Lakewood sit in a City of Dallas conservation district; if your project needs review, we can supply product and color information.
04
Grade Changes and Blackland Clay
Street elevations in Lake Highlands can vary by 50 feet, and Dixon Branch of White Rock Creek runs through Lochwood. Underneath, Dallas County is heavy Blackland Prairie, with clayey soils across its eastern two-thirds, and the county soil survey rates that clay very high for shrink and swell. Movement like that can show up as hairline cracks in a garage or patio slab. Our prep fills them before the polyurea base goes on.

My Brookhollow building went up in the 1960s. Can its floor still take a coating?
An older Brookhollow slab can usually take a commercial floor coating once we know what is on it and how sound it is. Dallas warehouses built between 1962 and 1970 may carry patches, sealer or paint from several tenants. We find those at the walk, price their removal, and fold crack and joint repair into the same coating scope. To book a Brookhollow walk, phone (214) 550-9809.
Does a stone-fabrication shop in Dallas need a different floor than the warehouse next to it?
Often it does, because wet cutting puts water, slurry and heavy slab carts on the concrete, while a dry warehouse mostly sees forklifts and pallets. In Brookhollow, where a rebuilt 1960s building leased to stone fabricators in 2024, we would quote the cutting room and the storage floor as separate commercial systems. Your Dallas scope shows each line. Ask about a split floor at (214) 550-9809.
Do you coat Dallas warehouses between tenants?
Between-tenant work is something we plan building by building, not a standing rule. An empty Brookhollow floor is easier to grind and coat in one pass, while an occupied Dallas building gets coated in sections. Whoever controls the space, owner or tenant, should sign off on the commercial floor scope before any dates are set. Owners and leasing agents can work out timing with us at (214) 550-9809.
What drives the price of commercial floor coating in Brookhollow, Dallas?
Square footage comes first, then prep: buildings here run from about 26,000 to 200,000 sq ft, and a 1960s Dallas slab may need old patching or coatings removed. The number of commercial systems the tenant uses require, and any sectioned or after-hours work, also count. Classic writes a single figure once the walk is done, with no hourly billing and no published rate. Brookhollow owners can set up that walk through (214) 550-9809.
How many crew days does a Brookhollow commercial floor need?
Small Brookhollow showroom-and-bay buildings around 26,000 sq ft are a one-visit commercial floor coating job, while the large Dallas plants near 200,000 sq ft take several days worked in sections. Prep on old concrete adds time before any coating goes down. The written scope dates every zone's shutdown and return to use ahead of the first day. For a draft Brookhollow schedule, ring (214) 550-9809.
Will your commercial crew drive out to Brookhollow from Garland?
Yes, Brookhollow in Dallas sits within the approximate one-hour working range of the Garland shop, though it sits across town from us. The district runs along Stemmons Freeway in 75247, around Commonwealth Dr, Cash Rd and Sharp St. Classic has no Dallas office, so commercial walks, scheduling and follow-up all run out of Garland. Brookhollow site walks are booked through (214) 550-9809, including Saturday mornings until 1 PM.
Before a commercial floor walk, what should a Dallas property owner sort out?
Settle who approves floor work first, owner or tenant, and gather what you know about the slab's past: earlier tenants, coatings, patches and spills. In Brookhollow, also list which areas are wet, dry or customer-facing, plus total square footage and the hours each zone can close. A 1960s Dallas building with that history in hand gets a tighter commercial scope at the walk. Send details ahead, or talk them over at (214) 550-9809.
