Commercial Floor Coatings Across Mesquite's Logistics Parks

Two very different commercial floors share one corridor in Mesquite. Distribution buildings near Mesquite Metro Airport are dock-high, with forklift lanes, racking footprints and pallet traffic all day. The airport beside them has a 6,000-foot concrete runway and 182 based aircraft, 10 of them jets, as of 2022, and hangar floors there take tires, tugs and fluid drips instead. A system that suits one rarely suits the other, so we choose by the building, not by the address.

The scale is new as well. Mesquite lists 17 business and industrial parks. The Mesquite Airport Logistics Center is planned at about 2 million square feet, its first phase two buildings with 36-foot clear heights and more than 200 dock doors, and Alcott Logistics Station is planned at about 1.5 million square feet. Skyline Logistics Hub runs from I-30 to Skyline Blvd. Floors that size are coated in sections, around dock positions and racking lines, and the site walk maps those sections first.

Our shop is about 29 minutes from Mesquite City Hall by I-635 S. On a floor of several hundred thousand square feet the crew is on site for many days, so mobilization and daily drive time become a real line on the scope.

Built around local conditions

01

Slabs From the 1980s Building Wave

Census housing data puts more Mesquite homes in the 1980s than in any other decade, and most of the city was built between the 1970s and the 1990s. On a slab that age, Nick looks for oil stains, old sealer or paint, and cracks someone patched years ago. Prep comes before color on these floors: grinding, crack prep and stain treatment, then the base coat.

02

New Garages in Solterra

Solterra, the Huffines Communities development, is planned for about 3,900 homes plus townhomes from 13 builders. A brand-new garage floor is the easiest kind to coat, with no oil soaked in yet. Coating early skips the stain work an older slab needs. Should Solterra's association want to review a visible change, we can hand you product and color information to attach.

03

Clay Under the Dallas County Side

The Dallas County soil survey rates the county's Houston Black-Heiden clays very high for shrink-swell, and most of Mesquite lies in that county. Clay like that can shift a slab. That is one reason the first layer is polyurea; by Nick's account it flexes about four times as much as epoxy. The survey does not cover the Kaufman County part of the city, so Nick judges those slabs in person.

A Short Run Down I-635

Our crews reach central Mesquite by I-635 South, about 12 miles from the shop. On a weekday afternoon that trip took about 29 minutes, and morning departures usually run quicker. A short drive means install day starts on time, and a crew can get back out without a long trip if a detail needs a second look.

Reliable local support

Why Mesquite chooses DFW Classic

The Distance, Honestly Stated

Mesquite is about 29 minutes from our Garland shop outside rush hour. Daytime traffic takes longer. We confirm your address and current appointment options rather than promising an unverified arrival or lead time.

Prep That Fits Your Floor

Nick sees your Mesquite concrete in person. Size, age, stains, existing coatings and daily use shape the recommendation, and your written quote explains the preparation needed.

Written Residential Protection

Qualifying residential flake systems include a 15-year written warranty. Ask Nick to explain coverage and exclusions for the specific surfaces on your quote; do not assume every outdoor or commercial system carries the same terms.

One Company, Start to Finish

Nick’s Garland-based company handles your estimate, installation planning and project questions. Discuss all the areas you want evaluated at the same free visit, with clear recommendations and no pressure to buy.

Mesquite Commercial Floor Coating Questions

How long does a large warehouse floor take in Mesquite?

A large Mesquite warehouse floor runs over many days, coated in sections so docks and aisles can return to use in stages. The count depends on square footage, joint repair, striping and the number of coats in the commercial floor system. Every section's closing and handback dates go into the written scope. Map the timeline with us at (214) 550-9809.

Do you add aisle and safety striping on Mesquite floors?

Aisle, safety and parking-style lines are part of how we plan a Mesquite distribution floor, laid out with your team around racking and dock traffic. The commercial floor scope shows where lines go and when they are added in the coating sequence. If you have an existing layout, bring a drawing to the walk. Questions about striping go to (214) 550-9809.

How is a commercial floor in Mesquite priced?

Pricing for a Mesquite commercial floor follows a free site walk and arrives as one written total. Square footage leads, then building type: a forklift-rated dock floor and a hangar floor are different systems. Repairs, stain removal and striping are added where needed, and on long jobs mobilization and drive time show as their own line. Call (214) 550-9809 to have the building walked and the lines broken out.

How soon can you get to Mesquite for a site walk?

The drive is about 29 minutes from Garland, so travel is rarely the delay for a Mesquite commercial floor walk. Scheduling is. A large building takes longer to walk, so we book enough time to see docks, racking and joints properly. The visit is confirmed the day before. Ask for the first open date at (214) 550-9809.

Which parts of Mesquite does Classic cover for commercial floors?

All of Mesquite is inside our hour-long working radius for commercial floors, including the business and industrial parks near Mesquite Metro Airport, the Skyline Logistics Hub between I-30 and Skyline Blvd, and the Kaufman County side of the city. Our Garland shop is roughly 29 minutes away by I-635 S. Building addresses can be confirmed before the walk. Reach us at (214) 550-9809 to check yours.

What should a Mesquite facilities manager plan before booking floor work?

Plan the sections and the dock schedule first, because a Mesquite distribution floor rarely closes all at once. Mark which aisles and doors can go down together, where racking is anchored, and any striping layout you want kept. Hangar tenants should check lease and airport approvals before booking. Those notes turn into the commercial floor section plan at the walk. Send them ahead or call (214) 550-9809.

Can you coat a hangar near Mesquite Metro Airport?

Hangar floors are part of the commercial floor work we offer, and Mesquite Metro Airport, with 182 based aircraft as of 2022, is one of the closest airports to our shop. A hangar needs a fluid-resistant topcoat and, often, a light finish, and the aircraft must be out until the floor cures. Describe the hangar to us at (214) 550-9809.
