Commercial Floor Coatings for What Denton's Distribution Centers Store
Denton's distribution floors carry very different products. The Denton EDP lists regional distribution centers for WinCo Foods at 850,000 square feet, Aldi at 474,000, Target at 440,000, ReaderLink media at 400,000, U.S. Cold Storage at 280,000 and Fastenal at 200,000. Groceries, frozen goods, retail stock, books and industrial supplies each leave something different on the concrete.
Newer space keeps arriving near the I-35E and I-35W split. Denton ICC-35 Building 2 at 2051 FM 1173, completed in 2024, is a 366,926-square-foot cross-dock with 36 feet of clear height, 68 dock- high doors and columns spaced 56 by 50 feet. At 4610 Jim Christal Rd, a 2025 building of 131,215 square feet with 28 docks is offered as a sublease for distribution, e-commerce or seasonal overflow, so its next user may store something nobody has named yet.
That is why the first question at a Denton walk is what sits on the racks. Grocery and cold-storage rooms run cold and collect condensation. Dry retail and media aisles mostly see forklift wear and dust, and an industrial-supply floor may take dropped metal parts and oil. On a cross-dock, the lanes inside each door see far more forklift turns than the middle of the floor.
With light traffic, the I-35E run from our Garland shop to Denton City Hall takes about 45 minutes, and longer by day. Floors from 131,215 to 850,000 square feet take several days at minimum, so they are usually sold and scheduled one zone at a time.
