Epoxy Flooring for Denton, TX Hangar Owners
Hangar space at Denton Enterprise Airport, the city-owned field about three miles west of downtown, has been scarce. All 27 existing hangars were full in September 2025, with a waitlist of 100. The response is 44 private hangars on just under eight acres leased from the city, sold to owners rather than rented, in three interior sizes: 1,245, 2,000 and 3,600 square feet. Owners were due to get in during 2026, with electricity, water and sewer at each one.
With water on site comes washing. A private hangar slab sees fuel drips, hydraulic fluid and hose water, so epoxy under a chemical-resistant topcoat fits, with slip texture where washing happens and the closest look at the door line, where tires and tow bars cross most. A 4,550-square-foot corporate hangar on Westcourt Road, listed for July 2026 with front and rear hose connections, raises the same questions at a larger size.
Here the arithmetic is unusual. With light traffic, our run to City Hall measured about 45 minutes and 41.3 miles up I-35E, and the field lies roughly three miles farther west. A 1,245-square-foot floor is a small job to drive that far for, and hangars are bought one owner at a time. When two or three owners book the same week, one trip covers several floors.
