Garage, Pool Deck and Hangar Floor Coatings in Denton, Texas

Our shop and office sit at 106 N Shiloh Rd in Garland, where owner Nick Brown started Classic Concrete Coatings in 2018. Denton City Hall on East McKinney Street is 41 miles north of the shop, a trip of about 45 minutes on the I-35E Express lanes when traffic is light. Denton County is one of four counties Nick chose to focus on.

Two kinds of floors bring us here. About half of Denton’s homes are owner-occupied, with two universities feeding a large rental market, so the residential work centers on a handful of owner pockets. Those homes get our polyurea flake system. The second kind is commercial: hangars at Denton Enterprise Airport and the big distribution floors around the city, which take epoxy with heavier topcoats.

Denton is the county seat, bordered by Corinth to the southeast and Argyle to the southwest. Robson Ranch is a 55+ active adult community built around Wildhorse Golf Club. Montecito and Montecito del Sur hold older houses on acre-plus lots, and Country Club Village is new construction inside city limits, even though its mail says Argyle.

01

Big Garages in Robson Ranch

Robson Ranch is a 55+ active adult community, and its Premiere and Estate series homes run from about 2,200 to 3,600 square feet. One 2010 listing describes an oversized three-car garage, 29 by 26 feet, with a workbench. Nick measures a garage like that bay by bay and asks whether built-in benches or cabinets stay in place for install day.

02

Acre Lots, Carports and Pools

The 1968 Montecito home we sampled sits on 1.68 acres with a two-car garage, a carport and a fenced pool. A 1987 Montecito del Sur listing has just over an acre, a three-car garage, a garage apartment and a gunite pool. Properties like these often have three or four slabs worth coating, and they can go on one written quote.

03

Slabs From 1965 to 2024

Denton’s median home dates from 1997, but the range is wide: about 14 percent of homes predate 1970, and roughly a quarter were built in 2010 or later. A 1965 Southridge garage and a 2024 Country Club Village slab need different prep. Older concrete usually takes more grinding and crack filling before the polyurea base coat goes down.

04

HOA Rules Change by Subdivision

Some subdivisions here have no HOA at all; the Montecito listing says so. Tuscan Hills has a mandatory one, and Robson Ranch and The Preserve at Pecan Creek both run community pools and clubhouses. If your HOA reviews visible changes, we can provide product and color information for the application.

Denton is about 45 minutes from our Garland shop outside rush hour. Daytime traffic takes longer. We confirm your address and current appointment options rather than promising an unverified arrival or lead time.

Qualifying residential flake systems include a 15-year written warranty. Ask Nick to explain coverage and exclusions for the specific surfaces on your quote; do not assume every outdoor or commercial system carries the same terms.

Questions About Concrete Coatings in Denton

How much does a coating cost in Denton?

Your Denton price follows a free on-site estimate and is provided in writing. Square footage, slab condition, old coatings, preparation and the number of areas determine the scope. Ask to have the garage, patio or other surfaces assessed together. Call (214) 550-9809 to discuss your project.

Do you serve Denton?

Yes. Denton is an approved part of our service area, including Robson Ranch, Montecito, Montecito del Sur, Country Club Village, Southridge, Tuscan Hills, The Preserve at Pecan Creek. We operate from Garland, about 45 minutes away in light traffic and longer during the day. Confirm your street address with us; ZIP codes and school districts alone do not always identify city limits. Call (214) 550-9809.

How quickly can you get to Denton?

The off-peak drive is about 45 minutes from Garland, but that is not an appointment lead time. Availability depends on current projects, your address, weather and the requested work. Nick calls before coming to your home. Call (214) 550-9809 for current estimate options and project-specific scheduling.

Which systems suit a Denton garage versus a hangar?

Homes get polyurea, and hangars and warehouses get epoxy. A Denton garage receives a polyurea base coat, a full broadcast of color flake and a clear polyaspartic topcoat; Nick puts polyurea at four times the flexibility of epoxy. Commercial floors, including hangars at Denton Enterprise Airport and distribution space, take epoxy with heavier topcoats, or quartz, urethane cement or polished concrete when the use calls for it. See the layers in a residential floor or call (214) 550-9809.

What should Denton homeowners know before a garage floor is coated?

Know the age of your slab first. Denton homes run from 1960s houses in Southridge and Montecito to 2024 builds in Country Club Village, and older concrete often needs more grinding and crack filling before it is coated. Clear the garage, workbench tools included, before install day. If the lot has a pool deck, carport or patio, add it to the same visit. Have every slab on your lot looked at in one trip, or call (214) 550-9809.

Does a Denton HOA have to sign off on a coated floor?

That depends on your HOA, and approval stays between you and the association; we supply the product and color information your application needs. Denton varies a lot: a Montecito listing shows no HOA, Tuscan Hills has a mandatory one, and Robson Ranch and The Preserve at Pecan Creek both have community pools and clubhouses. Check your own covenants before booking, since rules differ by subdivision. Ask for HOA product and color sheets or call (214) 550-9809.

How quickly can you get to Denton?

The drive is about 45 minutes from Garland with light traffic, longer during the day, and the wait for an open date depends on the season. Nick calls the day before your estimate to confirm, and our scheduling system sends a reminder 24 hours before install day. Office hours run Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 1 PM. See the next open date or call (214) 550-9809.

Is warranty support available in Denton?

Qualifying residential flake systems include a 15-year written warranty, supported by our Garland-based company. The project paperwork explains exact coverage and exclusions. Ask Nick about the particular garage, outdoor area or detached building you want coated rather than assuming all systems have identical terms. Call (214) 550-9809 to discuss your project.
